Eastcourt Oast is a comfortable, friendly, and cheap bed and breakfast nestled in a quiet, rural lane on the outskirts of Gravesend in Kent. We are surrounded by farmland, adjacent to an old manor farmhouse, and a 16th century church.
The Oast House was converted to a family home in the 1980’s from its more traditional use as a farm building for the drying of hops. The oast house itself dates back to the late 1800's, and now houses a unique circular kitchen. The old idiom of ‘going round in circles’ becomes true for any chef of the house!
The bed and breakfast has a choice of rooms all with tv, coffee and tea making facilities. A full english or continential breakfast is served in the morning.
Mary and Ian are your hosts, they have built up a wealth of local knowledge and contacts to make your stay a comfortable and relaxing one. The location of the bed and breakfast is ideal for those wanting to wind-down and relax in the open countryside. If you enjoy history, the town of Rochester and Chatham are 20 minutes away with Cathedral, Castle and historic Dockyard to keep you occupied. For those that enjoy shopping you can visit Europe's second biggest shopping centre, Bluewater, or catch a fast train into London (17mins) to enjoy all that the capital city has to offer.
A warm welcome awaits you.
